Jocelyn Chan focuses on structuring private investment funds across asset classes, including private equity, venture capital, real estate, infrastructure, credit, and hedge funds. She has significant experience advising fund sponsors and investors on fund formation, asset management, and operational matters, with a particular emphasis on hedge fund-related strategies and virtual asset investment structures. Beyond fund formation, Jocelyn’s experience spans M&A, joint ventures, and corporate finance transactions in the asset management sector. She also focuses on advising fund managers and investors with seeding, revenue-sharing arrangements, restructuring and governance issues throughout the fund lifecycle.
Jocelyn also advises clients in the virtual assets ecosystem on tokenized issuances and digital asset fund structures, guiding them through evolving regulatory and compliance requirements.
Jocelyn holds an LL.B. from Durham University in the United Kingdom and is fluent in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese. Before joining Broadfield, she trained and practiced with the investment funds team at Sidley Austin LLP in Hong Kong.
